Meet This Operation
Top-down/bottom-up operation is exactly as it sounds: you’re able to raise and lower the treatment from the bottom up, from the top down, and both at the same time. This system is great for privacy and light control on first floor—for example, you can get natural light into your room by opening from the top down, but you’ll maintain privacy from passersby with the bottom part of the shade closed. Or you can open from both, controlling sun coming in, which is great for upper-story windows.

Hunter Douglas offers several products you can add the option to:
- Solera® Roman Shades. Energy-efficient like a cellular shade, Solera looks like a Roman shade. This product is completely cordless and is available in over 65 colors and fabrics.
