Hunter Douglas motorized lifting systems for window treatments combine both line-of-sight (using infrared technology) and “out-of-sight” control (using radio frequency technology) to control your window treatments. Battery-powered, these systems are easy to install and require no additional wiring.

Which Window Treatments Can Be Motorized?

Motorization features can be added to most any Hunter Douglas product. Here are some of your options:

  • The PowerRise® with Platinum™ Technology window treatment automation system is compatible with all Hunter Douglas blinds and shades that can be raised and lowered. This includes all Hunter Douglas honeycomb shades, screen shades, roller shades, and Roman shades.
  • PowerGlide® systems are available for window treatments that traverse side to side, like our privacy sheers, modern draperies, gliding window panels, and other vertical blind options.
  • PowerTilt systems automate blinds with horizontal slats. Whether you have blinds made of wood, metal, or hybrid material, motorization options allow you complete control over light and privacy.

How to Operate Motorized Window Treatments?

Platinum motorized lifting systems can be controlled with a wireless remote or a battery operated wall switch. Move your window treatments one at a time, or select a group (or groups) of window coverings to move together, even in multiple rooms. Additional Platinum accessories allow you to control your window coverings when you’re not even home! Program your window treatment automation system to open or close your blinds at certain times of the day, or based on the amount of sunlight entering the room. These systems improve energy efficiency while adding style and convenience to your home.
