Vertical Blind & Cornice Control Light in Peoria AZ
Margaret and Jack from Peoria, AZ visited our Altra Home Décor showroom in Sunrise to pick out a window treatment to cover their newly installed 25’ stacking patio door. During our conversation, we uncovered three important functions that the blinds or shade needed perform.

Hunter Douglas Somner® Vertical Blind Collection
It was decided that the Hunter Douglas vertical blinds collection would best meet all their needs. After comparing the various vertical blinds, Margaret and Jack selected Somner® Custom Vertical Blinds. The Somner collection offered the couple the fabric and soil and dust retardant for minimal cleaning they were looking for.
Our next step was to schedule an in-home visit, so Margaret and Jack could see the fabric swatches on their stacking door and to pick out a custom cornice fabric to add the finishing touch. Pastel Linen Flax fabric was selected for the vertical blind and Stout fabric finished the top.
Professionally Measured & Installed Vertical Blinds
We professionally measured the windows and noted that the stacked stone veneer on the media wall angled back, so the clearance for the vertical blind mounting was minimal and the cornice had to be built with no return on the left to accommodate the stone. The installation was flawless and fit perfectly.
Margaret and Jack now have a beautiful blind that allows them to manage the light coming into the room. When completely closed they have the privacy they desired without making it too dark and the vertical blind is easy to keep clean.
