Motorized Custom Drapery in Peoria AZ

Gretchen and Paul from Peoria, AZ, split their time between Nebraska and Arizona. With family in both spots it’s hard to choose where to be when. It’s important to them that their Arizona home be beautiful and comfortable for the time they spend here.

Gretchen’s beautiful custom home had window treatments that were just too ornate over the top for them. They prefer clean lines and neutral tones. The windows are all arch top and there was a need for privacy as well as being able to diffuse the light while still having the option to open completely to their lovely backyard. Previously each window had the custom shaped cornice with red velvet drapes. We decided to do one large double rod with an embroidered honey colored sheer with a drape in a textured brown. Because the ceilings are 12” high and the expanse was so large, we used a motorized rod that is connected to their home automation system. They can now open and close the drapes and sheers with the touch of a button or program it to open and close based on sunrise and sunset or anything in between.

We used Somfy Motors with Kirsch Wood fascia, Fabricut Shoji in Cinnamon drape with Trend sheer.
